Military Surveillance Aircraft Over Yelm, WA - April 23, 2025

by JBLM Whistleblowers
Aircraft from Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State are flying surveillance missions over Yelm, WA, in an on-going pattern of illegal surveillance of the civilian community.

Aircraft N52515 is a Cessna M337B Super Skymaster owned and operated by Oscar Deuce LLC out of Virginia Beach, VA 23462.

Oscar Deuce LLC provides a wide range of products and services to U.S. defense and federal customers. The company specializes in aviation support, aerial surveillance, role player support, and travel services under numerous federal contract awards from agencies such as the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Department of the Navy, Department of the Army, and Department of the Air Force.

It appears that the military at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) is conducting an aerial surveillance mission over Yelm, WA. Based on past actions by JBLM, this mission may include video surveillance as well as electronic monitoring using StingRay / Dirtbox cell-phone monitoring equipment (http://theintercept.com/2020/07/31/protests-surveillance-stingrays-dirtboxes-phone-tracking/).

JBLM has a long history of illegal surveillance of the civilian community. This was seen in a 2019 motion to the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, where the JBLM Staff Judge Advocate sought to prevent the defendant in a misdemeanor case from having direct access to the evidence against him, because the government feared that information would be released to the media. Just what information was the government concerned about being released to the media? In the government’s own words in the motion: “It is alleged that [Defendant] has a long-standing professional and personal feud against D.V. and T.R. Several of their arguments stem from [Defendant’s] claim that D.V. and T.R. are unlawfully releasing personal identifiable information and collecting intelligence on U.S. citizens. Further, [Defendant]... alleges that JBLM DES is using Stingray, electronic warfare equipment, to unlawfully spy on citizens.”

Why would JBLM deny a defendant access to evidence in a court case and then have records of that case sealed if they were not trying to hide their illegal surveillance of the civilian community?

Why are aircraft contracted by JBLM flying surveillance patterns over the city of Yelm?

N52515 has been in a surveillance pattern over Yelm for more than four hours today.
