No! of Noon

Wherever you are at noon, on any day, make noise: bang a pot, hoot and holler, blow a whistle, a trumpet, a raspberry, stomp your feet, clap your hands, curse, exclaim -- say "No!" to the authoritarian capture of the US government. Let it be known that you do not assent. That you will resist. That you will not stand idly by as people are arrested for dissent, disappeared for being an immigrant, or while the Whitehouse prosecutes extortionate policies to dismantle civic institutions, destroy the press, freedom of speech, due process, and so much else that matters.

People around the world have done this for at least 200 years. They called it "casseroles" in Canada, and the "noise barrage" in the Philippines, "the nights of the pots" in Algeria. We're calling it "The No! of Noon". Let's make some noise.
